John Smit injured - Potentially out of RWC 2011
John Smit has apparently injured ligaments in his arm and will potentially miss the RWC 2011..
All my S.African mates and I could talk about yesterday after the game is how John Smit needs to sit down, watch the reply of the second half, be honest with himself and accept he is now without doubt a weakness and holding back the Springbok team as a whole and the world best hooker from his rightful place and chance to shine!
We concluded he MUST fall on his sword and thus maintain the rugby worlds respect ensuring he remains one of the greats in the anils of the game who we can tell our children about with pride and zeal instead of pity...
I am a huge fan of John and he has achieved more than 99.9% of the worlds rugby players and needs to understand he would do himself NO favours by backing himself to go to the RWC 2011 and play a BAD cameo role as Captain, 2nd choice hooker and dismal prop!
With the scrum going in reverse with him at prop we do not stand a "monkeys" of defending the William Webb Ellis trophy.
I wish him well and hope he gets better soon...but I also wonder whether the rugby Gods have not answered so many of the Bok fans payers with this incident.
Here's hoping PDV injures himself now too
